BBC | UEFA EURO 2020 'Forever Stronger Together' To mark the opening of UEFA Euro 2020, I was commissioned by the BBC to create a special original painting, bringing my Euro 2016 collection to a close. During the football off-season, I travelled across Wales, working on the painting while the BBC followed and documented its creation. On 12 June 2021, the finished artwork was unveiled live on BBC One, ahead of Wales' opening match against Switzerland in Baku. Euro 2016 was an unforgettable summer for Wales. Our first major tournament in 58 years brought a nation together, filling us with pride, passion and belief. From the anthem in Bordeaux to that remarkable performance in Toulouse, daring to dream in Lille, the bucket hats and the incredible bond between players and supporters. It was more than football. It was a moment in Welsh history that will stay with us forever. **This is my tribute to that summer — *Forever Stronger Together*.** --- **Cofeb i haf hudolus, hanesyddol 2016.** Haf a ddaeth â balchder, angerdd a chred yn ôl i Gymru, gan roi diwedd ar flynyddoedd o fod mor agos, ond eto mor bell. Am y tro cyntaf ers 1958, roedd Cymru wedi cyrraedd prif bencampwriaeth bêl-droed ryngwladol. O'r anthem yn Bordeaux i'r perfformiad bythgofiadwy yn Toulouse, y freuddwyd yn Lille, yr hetiau bwced a'r undod arbennig rhwng y chwaraewyr a'r cefnogwyr. Roedd yn fwy na phêl-droed. Roedd yn haf a unodd Gymru ac a greodd hanes. Dyma fy nheyrnged i'r haf hwnnw — Forever Stronger Together.
